Timur Kamanin

Developer. Indiehacker. Experimenter.

For the past 20 years I've been building web applications for clients around the world. Ecommerce systems processing tens of millions in revenue. Platforms for Fortune 500 companies, NGOs, and government agencies. I've sped up page loads by 5-10x, migrated live production systems between frameworks, and rescued projects from agencies that couldn't deliver.

I still do consulting — mostly Django and Wagtail — and I like it. More about that on timonweb.com.

But this site is here for a different reason.

I've wanted to build my own products for years. Kept putting it off — always another contract, always a reason to wait. What changed is AI. Not the hype part. The practical part: one developer can now ship what used to require a team. So I ran out of excuses.

I started building. And I started writing about it here.

I write about what I'm actually doing: shipping products with Elixir and Phoenix, the AI tools I use every day, what works in marketing when you're starting from nothing, and the automation that lets me punch above my weight. I'm not writing from the finish line. I'm in the middle of it.
